Getting Started

1. What exactly do you do?
Think of us as your right-hand partner in business. We handle the behind-the-scenes operations—like managing projects, streamlining systems, etc.—so you can focus on the parts of your business you love.

2. Who do you typically work with?
Most of our clients are small business owners, solopreneurs, entrepreneurs, and start-ups who need expert help to keep things running smoothly, but don’t want the expense or hassle of hiring in-house.

3. How do we get started?
We’ll start with a consultation—this can be virtual or in-person—to get to know your business, your goals, and what’s on your plate. From there, we’ll create a plan (including things like process improvements, standard operating procedures, customer relationship management systems, and operations) that fits your needs and gets results quickly.

4. How soon can we start?
Usually, within one to two weeks after we chat and sign the agreement—sometimes sooner, depending on our schedule.

5. What kind of services can I get help with?
From inbox management to marketing support, budget planning to process improvement—our services are tiered so you can get precisely the level of support you need. See our services page for the list of services we provide.

Service tiers have equivalent monthly hours (e.g., Business Manager is equivalent to 20 hours per month; The Visionary is equivalent to 40 hours per month, etc.). Please note that while the list of services that can be provided shows under each tier, we will work with you to determine prioritized projects or tasks, and specific scopes of work each month, so not all services will necessarily be provided at the same time. Services shown under each tier are available within the monthly fee and can be used, based on the priority and availability of hours within each tier.

6. Can I hire you for just one project?
Yes! While many clients choose ongoing retainers for steady support, we also take on select one-time projects if they’re a good fit.

7. Can you work with the tools I already use?
Yes! We can adapt to your existing systems—or, if you’d like, can recommend tools that could save you even more time.

8. How is working with you different from hiring an employee?
We’re independent contractors, not employees. That means no payroll taxes, benefits, or overhead costs for you. You get the expertise you need, when you need it, without the commitment of a full-time hire.

We work independently and control how the work is performed. The services we provide are outside or above the usual scope of your internal employee roles. We operate as our own business, providing similar services to other clients.

Payments & Policies

9. How does payment work?
For retainer clients, we invoice monthly in advance, and the contract specifies terms for cancellation. For one-time projects, we require a deposit up front, with the remainder due when we wrap up the project.

10. Will my business information stay private?
Absolutely. Confidentiality is a top priority. Your information stays safe and is only shared if it’s necessary to get the work done.
